Running XP home, 128k ram. Recently EXPLORER.EXP has taken over 95%+
of processor usage, low priority didn't change. Speed is now very slow
in all apps. Can't find anything that applies on MS web-site. HELP!!

First, you need to backup all important files on your hard disk. There
may be viruses on your computer and you should try to check this
first. You can find easy an antivirus program.Second, reinstal Windows
and applications and if the problem persist, make test of RAM using
Memtest86+.Check the cooler's fans inside your computer case. Finally,
test your hard disk with brand provided program(for Maxtor this is
PowerMax).Sometimes a wrong hard disk drive cashe may result in slower
performance.
